Thumbelina
This is the final project for my first After Effects class. I tried so many new things in this piece.
I made costumes, took green screen shots, and worked on roto scoping with limited equipment and time. The actress was my friend's daughtor C. Grace Ward. The actor was her neighbor friend. They were only 9 years old and have no experiences of acting, but I think they did an amazing job. The voice over was done by Alex. She is in a drama group. Even though I was very picky, she was very patient and did a fantastic job. Music was done by Chris Carmichael, a good friend of mine from my college. Again I was super picky with the music, but Chris made it exactly how I wanted to be done. A friend of mine, Joseph Ward and Jill Ward helped me out with casting and so many different aspects.
I won grand prize in Festival of the Art Film Festival 2008 in Grand Rapids MI. It was screened last year and this year.
